I have a great passion for creating recipes and cooking. My heritage is mixed Palestinian / English and my parents are both wonderful cooks who taught me a lot of skills in the kitchen but mostly shared and passed on to me my great love of food.
My dishes reflect my roots, as well as my interest in plant based dishes and seasonal ingredients. There are recipes utilising British seasonal produce, including many with and without Eastern twists and there are traditional Palestinian dishes I have learnt from family members over the years and hopefully more over the coming years.
I am a keen home fermenter (kombucha, kefir, vegetables, sourdough). I teach classes and volunteer at Made in Hackney, a plant based community kitchen in Stoke Newington and cook for various events locally and sporadically.
